responsibilities include:
techincal profiicency and industry knoweldge on assigned commodities to align business units sourcing decisions with commodity straetgies.
hosts commodity councils, and drives technology discussions between bus and suppilers, architectural reviews.
works independently with a highly divrese supplier and product base.
able to develop solutions to complex situations.
the ideal candidate possesses a high degree of technical proficiency, business experience specific to this commodity, and storng interpersonal communication and relationship management skills.this role is responsible for supporting cisco business units\' sourcing decisions in advance of program concept commit through their product launch.
ensures supplier capacity is planned and sufficient for first 1.5 yrs post fcs.
development of cisco technology road maps in collaboration with business, segment and technical leaders in advance of product development.
translate 3 yr bu product road maps into road maps for commodity space gap analysis and mitigation
acts as voice of the customer with suppliers in npi product escalations and engagements.
employment experience with a top tier auido solutions supplier is a strong plus.
deifne and negoitate forawrd-looikng cost strategies with selected suppliers.

cisco seeks a global sourcing commodity manager to focus on development and execution of commodity strategies for audio systems including transducers, (audio)
location:oslo, enclosures, speakers, specialty technology, and headsets for high-fidelity, for cisco\'s emerging technology product designs.
effective communicator (verbal, written, visual) across all levels of technical and business management.
expert at building strategic relationships both internally and externally.
technical proficiency in audio product designs (microphones, speakers), audio eco-systems and directional configurative methodologies is highly desirable, noise reduction solutions, headsets, enclosures.multi-sourcing per strategies in alignment with corporate directives, cost avoidance,
assures npi cogs targets are achieved and provides value engineering. engineering program management, cost and contract negotiations in a diverse and multi-technology environment is desired, road map development,
a track record of successful sourcing commodity management.
fluency in mandarin and english a plus.
monitors supplier npi (new product introduction) execution for post mortem reviews.
education:
typically requires bsee or equivalent plus 10+ years industry experience.
