job description: the successful candidate will join the telepresence technology group (ttg) with cisco\'s emerging technologies business group.
responsibilities:
- develop system software to support hardware bring-up and manufacturing functional test.
the diagnostics software developer will join our telepresence technology group and develop kernel/system software, diagnostic software and firmware for our next generation telepresence products. networking,
- develop linux device drivers and diagnostic software for a number of devices including video, audio, graphics and storage.
- support integration of diagnostic software into manufacturing test and engineering design verification test.
- excellent verbal and written communication sklils.

- profciient in genearting and documneting engineering specifciations.tcl or simliar scritping langauges,
- strong skills in bash.
- msee/cs combined with 3+ years of related experience, or bsee/cs combined with 5 + yrs related experience.
- strong software/hardware integration and debug skills.ssh, tftp/ftp, arp, hardware and manufacturing engineers, ethernet
- ability to work collaboratively with software,
- understanding of the following network protocols: dhcp.ttg is chartered with creating products and solutions for immersive video communications.this position offers the interested candidate exposure to a wide range of network, video and audio technologies.
- troubleshoot manufacturing test failures and returned units.
- understanding of linux and system boot initialization scripting.
- optimize bootloader and system boot functionality for performance, security and reliability.
- assist hardware engineers in hardware bring-up and debug.bootloader and bios firmware,
